I did some water glassing of eggs three years ago and wanted to share my results today. There were two floating which were clearly no good, but the rest so far aren't floating. I pulled one from the bucket and put it in a jar of water. It sank. The shell was still hard, but the inside was runny. No yucky smells. I put a comparison of a fresh barnyard egg from my chicken and the water glassed egg to you can see the difference. I then cooked up the egg and tasted it as did my Mom, daughter and granddaughter. No off smell, flavor, or texture. One would have never known it was a three-year-old egg that sat in lime water. Experiment successful!”
